As
you may have noticed, here at Gasda Performance Horses, we breed
quality Quarter Horses and Paints and strive to keep up with the
changing trends in the performance horse industry. We pride
ourselves on the ability to stay connected with the industry and
anticipate what buyers are going to be looking for each year, and
what we feel is going to make a winning combination.
Our
program is directed mainly towards reining, however we do have a
small selection of cutting horses and horses that are well suited to
reined cow horse or team penning events. We pride ourselves on the
conformation, pedigrees, and dispositions of our mares as well as
the trainability of the foals. With these aspirations we are sure to
see the products of our breeding program in the show pen and
WINNING! |
 |
These
days we are actively looking for AQHA or AQHA and
APHA registered mares to give our program more
breeding options and open up a bigger market and
entice new buyers.
Horses
have been part of our lives for many years
and we
would like to keep it that way. For this
reason we
work very hard to put the very best out there and
our reputation is very important.
Appreciating
a good horse has been a tradition at Gasda
Performance Horses since the beginning. |

Docs Smokin Playmate
aka Miss Texas was our first purchased mare,
everything else to this point had been home bred,
our herd consisted mainly of daughters and grand
daughters of The Major Leaguer. We purchased Miss
Texas after having a long look for a paint mare to
cross on Color Me Smart, paint cutters were
just starting to come up in popularity and he was
the only paint cutter with color and pedigree. After
that was Smokem Dually aka Bambi, she was our
first high end broodmare purchased, we wanted a
classic bloodline that was proven, Dual Pep answered
that search.
After that it just fell into place and turned out to
be where we are now.
We are mainly breeding paints, which was never the
long term plan, it just happened. Mares that came up
for sale that sparked our interest just happened to
be paints. Even though a lot of our mares carry
cutting bloodlines they have proven to cross over
very well into the reining pen, we can't wait to see
them go from training to showing! |
